Influence Map

I thought I would do an influence map :3

The biggest one here is Kaori Yuki. Mostly it's Godchild. 1800's gothic story? Yes please. I learned how to draw mostly from fan art of Godchild. I love her style but, unfortunately I haven't quite gotten the hang of it yet.

Next is from Ten! This is my favorite manga style I've found by far. I can't explain why, but the art makes my heart skip a beat. Here's the link to the comic: [link]

Directly below Ten is Saimain. Saimain was one of the first artists on DA I found and fell in love with. There's a depth to her pieces that I love. The emotion and detail put into each drawing is amazing.

To the left of Saimain is Orpheelin. I've yet to meet a person that doesn't love this artist. She draws scenes from her role plays which is something I also do. But even before I did so, I was caught by her detailed work and lines. I also love the Norse influences in her art.


Below that and to the left is Sandara. I don't think much needs to be said. Sandara is a high goal I've set for myself. The cohesion of every piece and the breathtaking quality is something I love about this artist's work.


Over one to the right is Zephyrant. Zephyrant has a unique style that makes me stop and look at all the little parts of the whole. I can tell who painted/drew the piece before even seeing the artist's name.

Last is classical artwork. Mostly things from the classical era of art. I always find the depth and detail given to painting amazing. That a person can create something that resembles real flesh with mixtures of paints is a marvel. There are a few painters I admire that are not part of the classical era, but it would likely take me days to write about all of them.

There are many other influences, such as music, role playing, books, and ect, but these are a few influences and people I strive to find myself on the same level with.
